The country is generally considered having three seasons with hot season from March – April, rainy season from May - October and cool season from November – February. When you are moving some of your household goods and personal effects along with you, then the documents that you must require are:

Copy of Passport

You should carry a copy of your passport when immigrating to Myanmar. It shows your personal details for verification of your identity in foreign country.

Original Bill of Lading/ Air Waybill

Before goods arrival at the port of Myanmar, your must submit the bill of lading for customs clearance and confirmation of carrier’s receipt.

Packing List

Having a packing list is a pre-requisite while moving to Myanmar as this would help in maintaining a record of all items to be carried and verify their receipt at the destination. Letter of Employment for returning citizens

If you are a Myanmar citizen who have been living in another country from some years and now returning to the country then you have to submit the income tax receipts to the authorities. These receipts are issued by Myanmar embassy.

For Returning Citizens- Photocopy of Myanmar NRC Card of all family members

Myanmar citizens who are living in another country with their family should make sure that you carry photocopies of Myanmar NRC cards of each member in the family when returning to the country.

  • The next comes in this list is making a checklist to avoid any problem in future.
  • Then comes the Sensible Packing, that means, to assemble all the tools and objects that you are going to need. For this purpose, first make a list of all your requirements for the same, including the entire primary and smaller objects; start with boxes.
  • Make use of uniformly sized boxes, so that they stack together neatly.
